Well, I'm here to tell you that it CAN happen! I was wearing size 26 jeans when I started Weight Watchers, and they got too big for me. I looked in my closet and had no size 24 jeans, but I did fine a pair of size 22 jeans, so I thought, well, I'll see if they even come close to being able to zip up on me, and they DID! I told that at the meeting, and received applause. I was excited, but not as much as I was yesterday. The size 22's were getting baggy on me, so I figured I needed a size 20, so I went to Lane Bryant, and picked out a size 20 pair and tried them on, but I could not believe it - they were too big in all areas. Did I dare try on a size 18? I couldn't believe I was even THINKING that small. But I went out on the store front and found a pair of size 18 jeans, and tried them on - at first I was doubtful, as I was used to pulling up a pair that was pretty big on me at the knees, and this pair was pretty small at the knees, but they came all the way up, and then the moment came - would they button up and zip up? YES!!!!!!!!
They fit me like a glove!!!!!! Who could believe this? I sure didn't. I wanted to shout it at the world. They need to be hemmed up just a bit, and I'll take it to a seamstress for that. To have it done professionally. But a size 18! I'm sticking to this diet like glue. To go from a size 26 to a size 18 in 5 months is unbelievable. Now I'm afraid that Lane Bryant's size 18 is really regular department store's size 20 or size 22. This is too good to be true.
But for right now, I'll take it and fly with it. Stick with it, folks. It can happen! I'm finally out of the 20's!!!! and into the teens now with my sizes. (of course the first thing that got too big was my bra, but ain't that life?).
